The Operations Delivery Management department are looking to fill the following contract position for a period of 12 months, with scope to extend. The Mechanical Maintenance Engineer provides operations and maintenance support to offshore installations. Acting as the onshore technical focal point for mechanical maintenance primarily on static equipment.
- Provide operational and technical support to the offshore assets for predominantly static mechanical equipment / systems including but not limited to steam systems, valves, inert gas systems, and HVAC systems etc.
- Preparation and input annual plan and budget for mechanical maintenance activities and modifications
- Prepare scopes of work including, as required, work pack, materials and equipment mobilisation where assigned to own discipline as per approved annual plan.
- Review of vendor and close out reports for technical content and ensure corrective work orders for follow up work is raised including further vendor mobilisations as required.
- Assist in closing out of synergy cases and ORA / HIRA actions as assigned to own discipline
- Custodian of flexible hose PSV register ensuring register is current and aligned with CMMS as well as planning and preparation of inspections, replacement and recertification campaigns.
- Give input and advice in vendor/(sub)contractor selection, with regards to scopes of work, budget and potential issues, barriers or gaps related to own discipline.
- Visit operational FPSO's at regular intervals and liaise with the offshore management on discipline related queries.
- Making cost effective and safety decisions/investigations with regards to the repair, maintenance and modifications of all installation equipment.
- Review and optimise maintenance strategies within own discipline to ensure efficient, effective and cost-effective planned maintenance procedures and routines are in place and ensure CMMS is current.
- Participate in inspections, FAT and offshore surveys as required.
- Ensure effective implementation of HSEQ&RC requirements in specifications, systems, procedures, maintenance routines and in daily practice
