For our ICT Department in Hoofddorp, we are looking for a System Administrator (Cloud Engineer) with proven experience with Microsoft (Cloud) Technology. Our ICT Department is responsible for the delivery, availability and maintenance of high quality ICT services for our employees in Hoofddorp, Aberdeen and offshore assets.

About the job

We are looking for an experienced and motivated Cloud Engineer to help design, implement, and maintain scalable and secure hybrid cloud solutions that support both onshore and offshore operations. In this role, you will collaborate with various teams across the organization to modernize our infrastructure and ensure a seamless integration between on-premises data centers and public or private cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure.

In this role you will:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to modernize infrastructure and integrate on-premises data centers with public/private cloud platforms (e.g., Microsoft Azure).
  • Deploy, configure, and manage cloud-based resources such as virtual machines, storage, and serverless components.
  • Ensure high availability, scalability, and cost-efficiency of cloud environments.
  • Develop and maintain automated deployment pipelines using tools like Terraform, Azure DevOps, and Bicep.
  • Implement security measures in line with company policies and industry best practices (e.g., IAM, encryption, and network security).
  • Ensure regulatory compliance by identifying and mitigating vulnerabilities across hybrid environments.
  • Monitor system performance, identify bottlenecks, and perform proactive troubleshooting to maintain uptime.
  • Set up and manage monitoring tools and alerting systems for operational continuity.
  • Work closely with ICT professionals to align cloud solutions with organizational needs.
  • Create and maintain thorough documentation of architectures, configurations, and procedures to support transparency and knowledge sharing.
