Worldwide over 500 employees are working for Bluewater Energy Services. 280 Employees are located at our head office in Hoofddorp. The Service Desk is part of the IT Department with up to 30 colleagues and teams on ICT Services, System and Network Administration, Application Management, Security, Project Management, Data Analytics and Business Intelligence.
Bluewater currently owns and operates a number of Floating Production Storage and Offloading Systems (FPSOs): the Glas Dowr, the Aoka Mizu, the Bleo Holm, the Hæwene Brim and Munin.
In this role, you will be responsible for registering and resolving user-related questions and incidents. Your tasks will include installing and configuring workplace systems and group applications, managing user access, and providing IT peripherals to our users. You will also inform, support, and instruct users about applications and advise them on the capabilities of IT products.
Furthermore, you will:
- Provide first-line support in response to notifications at the Service Desk.
- Process and dispatch user questions and incidents, as well as monitor their progress.
- Analyze questions, incidents, and solutions from first and second-line registrations.
- Ensure complete and proper operational documentation.
- Strive for the closure of requests and incidents continuously.
- Identify risks and non-compliances related to security and privacy and consult with colleagues and management on mitigating these risks.
You will be based in our Hoofddorp office, but you may occasionally need to perform activities abroad (on- and/or offshore), such as at our Aberdeen office, a project site, or on our vessels.
The Support Engineer is a team player who is customer-focused, service-oriented, and driven by a commitment to quality. You take ownership of your responsibilities, are result-oriented, always finding practical and creative solutions. You are decisive, motivated, ambitious, and passionate about IT, continually contributing knowledge to the team. Communication comes easily to you, both internally and externally. You are social, prioritizing relationships with users and understanding business priorities. You can be positively critical and can differentiate between what is urgent and what is important.
On the IT side of things the Support Engineer:
- Has a vocational MBO-4 IT-related diploma.
- 2-3 years of working experience.
- General ITSM knowledge.
- ITIL 4.0 certified.
- Ideally has Microsoft MD100 & MD101 certificates.
- Ideally CompTIA A+ certified.
Ideally you are certified on Microsoft AZ900 and AZ104 and Cisco CCNA , but Bluewater can help you to get these and other certificates depending on your ambition. Ideally you have Apple Dep knowledge and/or Apple iPhone Management knowledge.
