The Contracts & Procurement Department is responsible for delivering (sub) contracting and procurement in such a way that services and supplies are obtained at the best conditions regarding quality, delivering time, price and HSE aspects in order to contribute to the realization of the company's goals and strategy.

About the job

As a Transport and Logistics Coordinator, you are responsible for cost effective and efficient logistics services and arranging transports and documentation from door to door.

Furthermore, your responsibilities include:
• Initiate and write transport plans in line with the (Project) Execution Plans and provide input on T&L for (Project) Procurement Plans.
• Involve Engineering for special/heavy transports like verification of grillage and seafastening, stow plans.
• Provide realistic transport cost estimates/budgets, shipping schedules and shipping possibilities to tender, asset and/or project.
• Prepare, arrange and coordinate (major) logistics transports, experienced with Chartering HLV ( Heavy lift Vessels) , break bulk, Container liner traffic, Air and road Freight (including logistics documentation, tender board approvals, placing of transport orders to forwarding companies) and report deficiencies.
• Ensure accurate and up to date requirements for requisitions.
• Evaluate, qualification and appraise logistics service providers, subcontractors, vendors and agents.
• Develop logistics processes with transporters.
• Select, contract and manage transportation companies.
• Monitor contractors logistics safety performance.
• Ensure transport is carried out according to safety terms.
• Verificate and approve invoices or commitments.
• Familiarise with import regulations of countries of destination.
• Represent Bluewater towards logistics providers.
• Liaise within Procurement and others internally like Project Management and Legal/Insurance where relevant

Requirements

• Up to date knowledge of Incoterms.
• Adequate in English both written and spoken.
• Strong communicator and negotiator.
• Good understanding of a multicultural, 24/7 production environment.
• Willingness to perform activities abroad (onshore or offshore).
